Crayola Experience -- Best Deal In Orlando!
Today we get an annual pass to the Crayola Experience. Located in The Florida Mall near Orlando. The pass includes unlimited visits for a year and is only 34.99 for the bronze pass. A one day pass is $25 so this is a no brainier. There are hours of activities inside for kids and parents alike.
We spent 4 1/2 hours coloring and playing and didn't even do everything. They focus on keeping everything clean and safe as well.
My daughters love it so much that we may go every week.
Thanks for watching and see you in the next video!

    I love this video man. I have two kiddos as well and a red 97 jeep XJ. It's fairly built, and is trail ready, I believe. I also live in North Florida, right beside the Osceola National Forest; so the scenery isn't far off of what I expect to see on these tram roads. I want to spend a day doing this kind of content soon with my family. My first memories are in a 70's ford doing the same thing while my dad dog-hunted. Good stuff man.

    I plan on getting the RC 4.5 inch long arm kit and upgrading it as it fails. Right away, I know I want to get rid of the stupid Y-Link stuff which eliminates a lot of complications with the XJ. Essentially, the RC lift kit is a great starting point. It comes with enough parts to get you into the game and enough to keep wanting to upgrade constantly like all the other Jeep owners.

    1996 and up explorer has 8.8, disc brakes and is 59.5” width. You can also get 3.73 gears with the lsd. You can also get the 4.11 gears, but no lsd. It’ll only be 1/2” shorter on each side. Get extended arp studs and 1/2” wheel spacer plates. That will put you at jeep width, if that matters to you.

    The 8.8 is actually marginally stronger than the D44, more readily available and considerably cheaper as you mentioned. I put one in my TJ, it was a lot more work but definitely worth it. I am not impressed with the limited slip even after rebuilding it and getting it as tight as I could build it. It is ok in the dirt or sand but is near pointless in the rocks. OX locker coming soon! The drive line vibration is not from the 2.5" diff offset, it is from your pinion angle. It appears that your pinion is too low, the pinion should point at the T-case output yoke when running a dbl Cardan drive shaft. If you decide to raise the pinion, you might want to consider cutting the spring perches and relocating them to the correct spot. Shims are a bad idea in a vehicle that is wheeled/articulated, they can work out and if made from aluminum, break in half and fall out. I have the same Ruff Stuff cover on mine, they are pure beef! Projectxj , I agree the, Banks video was incredibly interesting and I saw it AFTER buying my cover LOL But I recall the really bad covers were the squared off extra capacity covers, not necessarily the RS angular covers. @@aflacemery I was wondering how that worked out. I have the 3.55 gears in mine. After a 3.5" lift and 31s the 3.55 just aren't cutting it. Need 3.73 or maybe the 4.11. After reading up on it I've decided to go the same route as you for the same reasons with the 8.8. My XJ is a 92 (only 80k miles) so I assume I have the lp front d30 so hopefully I can find an explorer with the hp front axle shafts still in when I grab the rear 8.8. @@aflacemery absolutely, is why I need to change gears, highway driving. They say the gearing is fine for up to 35" tires but I strongly disagree even with my 31"s. I know I'm stressing things trying to keep up on the road. Are the 4.11 8.8 more common than the 3.55 or 3.73 8.8s? I twist wrenches pretty good but this is unknown territory for me as far as gear ratios. Trying to gain as much knowledge before I start hunting down explorers at the junkyards.

    • @aflacemery
      @aflacemery 4 роки тому

      @@mccartneystuart if your pulling one from the junkyard check on the cover itself. It should have a tag on it that says the gear ratio and if it's limited slip, usually with an L. If the tag is missing there are codes on the driver's door that should tell you the ratio. You should make notes before hand because the codes can change year to year. Worst comes to worse you should pull the cover and count the teeth, ring gear teeth divided by pinon gear teeth and it will tell you the ratio. While the cover is off you can see if it's limited slip or open carrier too.

  • @ProjectXJ

    The passenger side is shorter than the driver side. Pinion is offset to the passenger side 2.5". Those diff covers are strong but they work the fluid a lot more than a stock one. Banks power has a cool video series on that. I went with a Solid cover because it is closest to the shape of the stock but still beefy and only cost me $60. Its nice that you got the axle for free. I paid $103 for mine at a junk yard. My total cost with a truss and extra shafts and the diff cover was $583. Definitely worth the money for the peace of mind. I had the dana 35 before the swap.
